Empowering THE PEOPLE OF SYLHET
The original idea of one man was to provide, food and medical care.
When Seeds Of Growth was created it was decided to provide more sustainable help hence our decision to take a survey of the villagers needs.
High on the list was clean water, sanitation and roof repairs. When after 6/7 years we had achieved this. We decided to respond to request from other villages.

Our Story
Having moved to Hastings, in the UK, from Birahimpur, Bangladesh, Mohammad Akmol Ali supported his family and many others in the village over a number of years with food aid, medical aid and financial aid. He decided that he would build a nursery school for the villagers and asked Catherine to come and help him, however opinions were varied.
This then required a different approach. It was decided to take a survey to get all of the villagers opinions. Thus was the Project “Seeds Of Growth” founded, Catherine continues to run Seeds Of Growth and oversees the annual projects in the surrounding villages.
